I am a bargain hunter, but this tops any deal I have found before! Another successful day at Nordstrom Rack.

Make Me Look Like Blake

I recently followed up with a client who is continuously changing her style. She always seems to have a new fashion icon- this week it was Blake Lively. I was in total agreement with this fashion crush. Blake Lively has a way of making fashion look effortless.

My client started ranting and raving about how we needed to go shopping again in order for her to mimic Blake’s style. As much as I love shopping and spending other people’s money, right now my trend is saving money by getting creative.

I spent 10 minutes in her closet and created this outfit. Even though it was not an exact replica of the photo that she had found online, she was very pleased and said she felt very “Blake like” in it. She loved it even more because it cost her $0.

This just goes to show what another set of eyes can find in your closet!

Yellow Pages, what's that? I decided that it was time to enter cyberspace and get Vogue Vantage online. I have been working very closely with a fantastic designer Vinny Frye. Together we are producing a site that I am very proud of. Don’t worry, I will let you all know when VogueVantage.com is up and running.

How Do I Look?

I have learned not to give my fashion opinion unless it is sought out. The question "what do you think of this outfit" is an open invitation to consult. My dear friend Elizabeth recently asked such a question. Before I answered her question, I asked her what look she was trying to achieve. When her response was "trendy, you know like the boyfriend shirt look" I took action.

By thinking less conventionally, ie. belt in the belt loops, we came up with this urban office new outfit.

Elizabeth, how do you look? Great!

The Right Stuff

I had the opportunity to dress a darling young lady for her recent eighth grade graduation dance. It was a formal event that required the right look. She was worried that her petite frame might pose a challenge, but I told her not to worry.
It took less then 15 minutes in the department store to find this perfect dress that was both age and price appropriate. As soon as she put the dress on, I knew she could dance the night away in that dress. Her face lit up as I told her my vision for jewelry, shoes, and hair accessory. In my humble opinion, she looked like a million bucks!

I'm Seeing Double

Most people would head for the hills with one glance at this closet; however, I see it as a challenge...Welcome to the world of Vogue Vantage! My client had a hard time getting dressed in the morning because she couldn’t find clothes that she knew she had purchased.

The result: five hours of service, a clean and organized closet, and newly discovered clothing! She ended up having duplicates of many blouses and t-shirts. Think of all the money she could have saved if she had called me before that second trip to Bloomingdales!
